It is of paramount importance to The Gale Construction Company that a safe and healthful environment be maintained on each project, at every level, throughout its duration. Through diligent management, thorough training and continuous site monitoring, we provide a comprehensive safety program focused on the following elements:

• Establishment of a safety committee for overseeing all aspects of safety and health activities at each project.
• A comprehensive list of safety and health training requirements for all contractors and subcontractors personnel.
• Promotion of a safe and healthy atmosphere with active participation of all site workers.

It is this total commitment to safety that has allowed us over the past three years to consistently reduce our Experience Modification Rating (EMR) to our present rating of .625. By providing this Safety Culture we have also helped our subcontractor's safety performance. Additionally, we have enjoyed external recognition for our safety practices, most recently by XL Environment, Inc. who presented us with their Green Contractor Award for Excellence in Safety. But perhaps the greatest reward is captured in the photo below of Lapp USA employees who were honored for saving a life utilizing CPR training provided by Gale's Safety Department. Gale Construction is also proud to be involved in the development of BuildSafeNJ which is an organization that includes construction companies in New Jersey that are working together to provide constant safe work practices for all workers on our construction sites.
