The Gale Construction Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI), received the New Jersey Business & Industry Association's (NJBIA) New Good Neighbor Award for work on the Kessler Institute's new Center of Excellence for Spinal Cord Injury and Brain Injury Rehabilitation pavilion located in West Orange, New Jersey. The New Good Neighbor Award recognizes organizations that have worked to bring about an improved business climate in New Jersey.

The Gale Construction Company constructed a 102,000 square-foot, three-story addition that is now the home of the Kessler Institute Center of Excellence for Spinal Cord Injury and Brain Injury Rehabilitation. The addition includes two 48-bed specialized units; one dedicated to spinal cord injuries and the other for traumatic brain injuries. The project also entailed the expansion and modernization of the existing dining facility, additional parking spaces, patient and family activity spaces, outdoor patios, and a canopy-covered new entrance to the facility. NK Architects was the architect for the expansion.
